Bethany began by volunteering at the Basilica of Saint Mary, where they co-founded and led a young women's group, successfully organizing various learning, service, and social events. Bethany also served as a volunteer board member of the Young Adults Planning Committee, where they played a crucial role in planning and hosting group activities and events, as well as initiating monthly game nights.

In 2012, Bethany joined Caribou Coffee as a team member, contributing to the smooth operation of the establishment. Prior to that, they worked at Mader's Restaurant as a graphic designer responsible for creating print, email, and website advertisements. Bethany excelled in redesigning menus, establishing a Facebook fan page, and increasing the fan count. Bethany also quickly adapted to using new email advertising software.
