Donald Krubsack

Composer In Residence, Schola Cantorum, Brass Ensemble at Basilica of Saint Mary

Donald Krubsack is an experienced music educator and conductor with a prominent role as the High School Band Director and Music Production Teacher at Wayzata Public Schools since August 2010. In addition to this position, Donald serves as the Composer in Residence for the Basilica of Saint Mary, where responsibilities include composing liturgical and choral music, as well as performing as a trombonist and vocalist. A freelance musician since June 1996, Donald has also held prior teaching positions, including the role of High School Band Director and AP Music Theory Teacher at Orono Public Schools from August 1990 to June 2010. Donald's musical background includes performing as a tenor with The Rose Ensemble from 1997 to 2001. Educationally, Donald holds a PhD in Music Education from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree in Conducting and Music Education from Northwestern University, and a BA in Music Education from St. Olaf College.
