Basilica of Saint Mary
Julia Vikesland has extensive experience in music education and performance, serving as a Cantor at multiple churches since 2004 and performing as a Jazz Soloist with the Maple Grove Jazz Ensemble since 2016. Julia has worked as a Private Piano and Voice Instructor since 2013, developing curriculums for students of all ages, and has been an Early Childhood Music Instructor at the MacPhail Center for Music since 2012, where Julia plans and facilitates integrated arts classes. From 2010 to the present, Julia has been a dedicated Cantor and wedding and funeral singer at the Basilica of Saint Mary, demonstrating ability to prepare music on short notice and perform with great passion. Julia's educational background includes a focus on Early Childhood Education at the University of Minnesota and Music Education at Concordia College - Moorhead.
