Basilica of Saint Mary
Maureen Bourgeois possesses extensive experience in various roles related to education, training, and theater. Currently serving as a Standardized Patient Trainer at the University of Minnesota since August 2018, Bourgeois also works as a Crisis Intervention Actor with the Barbara Schneider Foundation and has held multiple positions at the Basilica of Saint Mary, including Confirmation Acolyte and Office Coordinator. Freelance work includes directing, acting, and properties designing for theatrical productions. Additionally, Bourgeois managed the VISTA program at the Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement and coordinated the Certified Family Life Educator program at the National Council on Family Relations. A University of Minnesota alumna with a BA in Theatre Arts, Bourgeois has cultivated skills in communication, training, and crisis intervention throughout their diverse career.
Basilica of Saint Mary
The Basilica of Saint Mary, located in downtown Minneapolis, is a welcoming Catholic community committed to the well-being of the city. It is a center for the arts and a place of refuge for the poor. The Basilica provides quality liturgy, religious education, pastoral care, and hospitality to all. The parish is the spiritual home to over 6,400 families of all ages, races, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds.
