George Georgallides has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. George is the Founder and CEO of Basis Health since February 2021, where they oversee the company's operations. Previously, they were a Fellow at On Deck from June 2021 to December 2021. In 2020, George founded Pinch Kit, a home testing platform for infectious diseases. George held the position of Founder until December 2021. Before that, from 2014 to 2020, George worked as a Partner at XO Ventures, focusing on investment opportunities. In 2015, they founded Scenester, a geo-location social mobile startup. George was also a Pro Triathlete at USA Triathlon from 2013 to 2015. Prior to their entrepreneurial pursuits, they served as the Head of Innovation at Curious Pictures from 2012 to 2014, where they managed a micro-fund investing in interactive entertainment. George began their career in 2009 as a Financial Advisor Intern at Merrill Lynch. Before this, they competed as a Competitive Athlete - Track & Field at USC Athletics from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, George was a Corporal in the Artillery Division (Unit Leader) at the National Guard of Cyprus from 2003 to 2005, where they led a team of 27 soldiers and successfully completed 7 expeditions with no incidents.
George Georgallides began their education in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Southern California in 2009. Then, in 2012, they attended UCLA for an unspecified period of time. Most recently, in 2021, George enrolled in the Graduate Program at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they are studying Bioinformatics.
