Rose Miller-Sims

Rose Miller-Sims has a diverse range of work experience. Rose is currently working at BASIS Independent Schools, where they have held multiple roles, including Head of School, Lower Campus and Associate Head of School, Upper Campus. Prior to that, they worked at the Public Preparatory Network as a Special Education Teacher. Before that, they worked at Success Academy Charter Schools as both a Special Education Teacher and an Associate Teacher. Rose also has experience at Ferrari North America, where they worked as a Marketing & Event Management Consultant and a Product Specialist & Administrative Assistant. Additionally, they have worked as an Event Producer at Tantrum Experience, an Italian Translator and Voice Over Artist at Gray Line New York Sightseeing Tours, an Assistant Italian Teacher at Dartmouth College, an ESL Faculty member at Professional Business College, a Substitute Italian Teacher at Lycee Francais de New York, and an Adjunct Instructor of Italian at New York University.

Rose Miller-Sims has a diverse education history. Rose graduated from Kenyon College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian and French. In 2010, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Foreign Language Education from the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Later, in 2015, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in General & Special Education Grades 1-6 at Touro University. In addition to their degrees, Rose also holds certifications in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 and Students With Disabilities Grades 1-6, which they obtained from the New York State Education Department in June 2016.
