Susan Moran is an experienced educational leader with a robust background in mathematics education and school administration. Currently serving as the Founding Head of Middle School at BASIS International Schools since July 2022, Susan previously held the role of Vice Principal at Day Waterman College from August 2019 to July 2022. A significant part of Susan's career was spent at El Limonar International School from September 2003 to August 2019, where roles included Leader of Teaching and Learning, Head of Faculty for Maths and Computing, and Mathematics Teacher. Earlier teaching roles include positions at Saint Joseph's College and The Radclyffe School. Susan holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Post Graduate Certificate in Middle Leadership from the University of Buckingham, as well as a Bachelor's Degree with PGCE in Mathematics and TESOL from The University of Manchester, and a Mathematics BSc Hons from The University of Salford.

BASIS International Schools is a part of the BASIS Curriculum network of schools in the United States and worldwide. The first BASIS International School opened in Shenzhen, China in 2015 as the largest opening of an international school in south China history. Our network of schools continues to expand with BASIS International School Guangzhou opening in 2017, BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour and Hangzhou in 2018, BASIS International School Nanjing and BASIS International School Bangkok in 2019. The first bilingual school in our network opened in September 2020: BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen. Our network is rapidly growing and future schools will be opening in coming years.
