Principal Product Designer at Basis Theory

Radilson Gomes has a diverse work experience in the field of product design. Radilson started in 2011 as a UI/UX Designer and front-end developer at Grupo Novácia, where they worked on the initial visual interface of the Gestor Social system. Radilson also contributed to front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.

In 2013, they joined Xys Interatividade as a UI/UX Designer. Here they were responsible for designing an intranet-like application used by several Brazilian government agencies. Radilson also revamped the UI and UX of their custom corporate social network called XSocial.

From 2014 to 2020, Radilson worked at Zello Tecnologia. Radilson started as a Senior Product Designer, designing and launching applications for various Brazilian governmental agencies. Radilson focused on creating intuitive and engaging user experiences to make accessing government services more convenient and efficient. Later, they became the Design Manager, leading a team of UI/UX designers. Radilson recruited, trained, and managed designers, overseeing projects from inception to completion.

In 2020, Radilson joined Avenue Code as a Principal Product Designer. Radilson worked on an ambitious project to create an immersive virtual experience at Starbucks coffee farm in Costa Rica. Radilson developed experience concepts, high-fidelity prototyping, and conducted user tests to translate on-site tours into an online experience.

In 2022, they joined Toptal as a Product Designer.

Radilson's most recent role is with Basis Theory, starting in 2021 as a Principal Product Designer. Radilson worked closely with founders, Product Managers, and engineering teams to build a tokenization platform. Radilson created the visual direction for the company and its products, contributing to their recognition as one of Fast Company's most innovative companies.

Radilson Gomes completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at UniCEUB - Centro Universitário de Brasília from 2008 to 2011. Radilson then pursued an MBA in Digital Marketing and Communication at IESB from 2012 to 2013.

In terms of certifications, Radilson obtained several qualifications. In August 2022, they obtained the EF SET Certificate™ with a score of 77/100, indicating proficiency in English. In August 2020, they acquired a certification in UX Design from Design Circuit. Additionally, in July 2020, they completed courses in Design Thinking, Human-Computer Interaction - HCI, and User Experience from various institutions such as The Interaction Design Foundation and How Bootcamps. In April 2020, they earned a certification in DIGITAL SKILLS: USER EXPERIENCE from Accenture.

Furthermore, Radilson completed a course called Hello Design Thinking from IDEO and a UX Weekend course from Mergo User Experience in August 2014. Most recently, in August 2019, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® through Scrum Alliance.
