Head Of Athletic Development at Basketball Ireland

Peder Madsen MSc has a diverse work experience in the field of athletics and fitness. Peder started their career as a Physical Education Teacher at Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB in 2008. Later on, they worked as a Personal Trainer at Irish Strength Institute from 2013 to 2017. Peder also served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Nutrition Consultant for various sports teams such as O'Tooles GAA Senior Hurling Team, Mohill GAA Senior Football Team, Maryland GAA Senior Football Team, and Longford Senior Football. In 2014, they assumed the role of Head Coach at Glasnevin Basketball Club. Peder Madsen MSc was also a Tutor at Image Fitness Training from 2014 to 2017. Furthermore, they have experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the u20 Irish Men's National Basketball Team and as the Head of Athletic Development at Basketball Ireland starting from 2018.

Peder Madsen MSc has a diverse education history. In 1996, they obtained a National Certificate in Applied Science from Technological University Dublin. Following this, from 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, General at Post University. In 2006 to 2007, they attended Thames Valley University where they obtained a National Certificate in Education. Continuing their education, Peder achieved a Master of Science MSc in Exercise and Nutrition from the University of Chester from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Peder holds certifications including CSCS from NSCA and PICP Level 2, although the institutions or dates of these certifications are not specified.
