Dave Brown has a diverse work experience in the basketball industry. Dave started their career in 2002 as the Men's Basketball Coach at John Jay College. From there, they worked as the Boys Basketball Coach at Collegiate School in 2003 and then became the Head Basketball Director at Camp Winadu in 2004. In 2003, they also served as the Director of Development at Five-Star Basketball until 2005. Brown then joined Susquehanna University as the Men's Basketball Coach from 2005 to 2008. Dave later worked as a Marketer at NETS BASKETBALL from 2008 to 2011. Currently, they are the Director of Programming at Basketball Stars since 2011.
Dave Brown attended Bucknell University from 2005 to 2007, where they studied Instructional Specialist. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2002, they obtained a B.A. in History from Connecticut College. Before attending college, from 1997 to 2002, Dave studied at Colgate University, although specific details about their degree and field of study are not available. Dave completed their high school education at Dwight School from 1993 to 1997.

By stressing the importance of the game's fundamentals Basketball Stars can help players of all skill levels and ages. Emphasis is placed on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, communication and accountability for all participants.
