Marcus Deluigi has extensive work experience in the IT field. Marcus started their career as a Programmer at Muller Martini in 1999 and later worked as a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich. In 2005, they became a Business Intelligence Developer at Wicresoft. From 2007 to 2010, Marcus worked at IBM as an Accredited Project Manager, leading global virtual teams for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Marcus then became a Lead Service Delivery Manager at IBM, responsible for IT service operation for a private bank in Switzerland. In 2012, Marcus joined the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA as the Head of Integration & Development and Lead Service Design. Marcus managed the application architecture and directed a team of solution architects and technical specialists. From 2016 to 2018, Marcus worked at Selecta as the Head of Group Applications and later as the IT Director DACH. Marcus managed the group-wide application portfolio across 18 countries and led a virtual team of application managers. In 2018, Marcus became the Head of IT at Basler & Hofmann.
Marcus Deluigi obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from ETH Zürich, where they attended from 2000 to 2006. In 2021, they attended MIT Sloan Executive Education for a program on Organizational Design for Digital Transformation. The following year, in 2022, they completed another program at MIT Sloan Executive Education, this time focusing on Digital Strategies for Transforming Your Business. In 2023, Marcus pursued further education at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, earning a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Cybersecurity and Information Risk Management (CISSP/BSI/ISO/NIST).
