Cherif Massoud

Cherif Massoud is the co-founder and CEO of Basma. Cherif has over 12 years of experience in the orthodontic industry, having founded two companies in the space. Prior to their work in orthodontics, Cherif was a professor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

Cherif Massoud is a serial entrepreneur and Orthodontist who has dedicated their life to helping people achieve straighter teeth. Cherif has always been passionate about improving people's smiles and self-confidence. In 2008, they founded Massoud Orthospace, which quickly became one of the leading orthodontic practices in the Middle East. After seeing the huge potential for digital orthodontics, they decided to start Crystalign in 2016. Crystalign was acquired by BASMA.com in 2020 and is now one of the most popular dental teeth alignment solutions used by orthodontists in MENA.

Cherif Massoud has an Executive MBA from the London Business School, an entrepreneurship degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Diplome d'Etudes Superieures Specialisees in orthodontics from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Cherif also has a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from the American University of Beirut, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Cherif has a French Scientific Baccalaureate from Collège Mariste Champville.
