Jon Guisasola Uriarte has a diverse range of work experience. Jon worked as a QA Laboratory Technician at NOVATTIA, where they conducted characterizations of mining industry samples and developed skills in lab organization and technical knowledge. Jon also completed a Mastersizer 3000 course to learn about particle size distribution tests.
Jon then worked as a Research Student at UPV/EHU, focusing on developing a green cathode material for energy storage devices. During this time, they contributed to the goal of increasing green energy production and mitigating climate change.
Following that, Jon had a Research Internship at Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux (ICMCB) in collaboration with CNRS and Université de Bordeaux. Here, they worked on energy storage development, specifically targeting the recycling of critical materials found in batteries.
Currently, Jon is working as an Electrolyte Process Engineer at BASQUEVOLT, a spin-off company of CIC Energigune. Their role involves developing the industrialization process for a solid-state electrolyte that has been patented, with the aim of producing batteries for electric vehicles.
Throughout their career, Jon has shown a strong focus on sustainable energy solutions, actively working towards a fossil fuel-free society and contributing to the revolution of energy storage.
Jon Guisasola Uriarte obtained a bachelor's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea from 2017 to 2021. Jon then pursued a master's degree in Materials Science with a focus on Materials Science at the Université de Bordeaux from 2021 to 2022. Following that, they continued their education at the University of Liège, where they completed a second master's degree in Materials Science, specializing in Materials Science, from 2022 to 2023. In addition to their academic achievements, they also hold a B type driving license from the Dirección General de Tráfico.
