Nicolette Cabbell is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in career success and leadership development. Currently serving as a Career Success Manager at BASTA since January 2024, Nicolette previously worked with Uncommon Schools in a leadership development role from May 2022 to January 2024. Prior experience includes serving as the Program, Recruitment & Inclusion Manager at Purposeful Growth Institute, a nonprofit focused on aligning skills and community needs, from September 2021 to May 2022. Nicolette held the positions of Program & Community Manager and Recruiting & Community Development Analyst at Inspiring Capital from October 2020 to September 2021, as well as serving as a Client Protection Associate at AlphaSights from February 2019 to October 2020. Nicolette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance with a focus on Sports Medicine from Howard University, earned between 2012 and 2016.

Basta is a nonprofit closing the employment gap for first-generation students. Our model builds a bridge between employers and an untapped talent pipeline. We do this through rigorous career-prep programs that directly support students in securing great jobs and internships. We also form strategic partnerships with the larger higher-ed and nonprofit ecosystem to scale studentsโ access to high-quality career prep and with employers to build a talent pipeline for all their hiring needs.
