Brandon Shroyer

Brandon Shroyer has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Brandon currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at Bastille. Previously, they worked at Pivotal Software, Inc. where they held roles as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer. In these positions, they collaborated with clients to gather requirements, developed machine learning models, and wrote code to operationalize those models. Additionally, they worked on software development, technical interviews, and provided technical support for major customers. Prior to Pivotal, Brandon worked at the University of Rochester as a Research Assistant and Jr. Analyst/Programmer where they focused on energy efficient parallel computing and software development for computational astrophysics projects. Brandon also has experience as a Laboratory Technician, providing programming and research support. Earlier in their career, Brandon worked at Our Computer Guy as a Programmer/Computer Support Specialist, where they developed applications and provided server support.

Brandon Shroyer has a strong educational background in computer science and physics. Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Rochester, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003.

In terms of their higher education, Brandon pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Rochester, completing their studies from 2011 to 2012.

Furthermore, Brandon has supplemented their education with several certifications. Brandon completed the "Climate Geospatial Analysis on Python with Xarray" course from Coursera in October 2022. In September 2022, they obtained a certification in "Finite Element Analysis Convergence and Mesh Independence" from Coursera. In October 2021, they completed the "Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLOps) Specialization" from Coursera.

Prior to these, they acquired certifications in various specializations, including "Deep Learning.AI TensorFlow Developer Specialization" in July 2021, "Natural Language Processing Specialization" in October 2020, and "Deep Learning Specialization" in November 2019. Additionally, they completed the "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" course from Coursera in September 2019.
