Alex Bazhenov

Alex Bazhenov is an accomplished engineering leader with a strong background in software development and product management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and Founding Engineer at Bastion since May 2023, Alex is focused on enhancing payment, connection, and shopping experiences. Prior experience includes a role as Tech Lead at Thesis, where significant growth in wallet users was achieved, alongside overseeing smart contract audits for the Tally Ho DAO. Alex's engineering expertise was further demonstrated at Old Mission Capital LLC and Zero Hash, where contributions were made to high-revenue trading systems and client-facing applications. Additional roles at Fraight AI, Complexity Gaming, Xi’an Jiaotong University City College, and research positions at the University of Colorado underscore Alex's diverse skill set in both technology and academia. Alex holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics and dual Bachelor's degrees in Linguistics and Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with study abroad experience at Kansai Gaidai University.
