Dean Whisnant has over 25 years of work experience, with a diverse background in various industries. Starting in 1992, they worked as a Staff Programmer at Computing Information Services, where they installed and modified base publisher distribution software. Dean then moved on to California Princeton Fulfillment Services in 1993 as a Data Processing Manager, responsible for managing the Data Processing Department and implementing a small company LAN.

In 1995, Dean Whisnant joined NTC/Contemporary Publishing Company as an Information Systems Manager. Dean successfully implemented the company LAN and merged another publishing company's computer systems into NTC. In 1997, they became the Lead Systems Engineer at Inland Truck Parts Company, leading the re-engineering effort for their retail sales and distribution system, as well as managing the company WAN.

From 1998 to 2003, Dean Whisnant worked as a Principal Consultant at Keane, Inc, managing multiple client projects and providing oversight for team priorities. Dean also mentored the Department of Public Safety and Correction Services IT department in COTS Package implementation and managed the implementation of an Offender-Based Tracking System.

In 2003, they became the Information Services Manager at Woodhaven Health Services, where they managed their legacy pharmacy operations and insurance adjudication software and oversaw their corporate domain. From 2004 to 2006, Dean Whisnant worked as a Product Coordinator at Basys, Inc, identifying opportunities to improve the Health Claims product and working with the Software Development group to ensure requirements were met.

In 2006, they joined APS - Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station as a Software System Designer III. Dean Whisnant then returned to Basys, Inc in 2007, where they held multiple roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they led programming staff for modifications of Health Claims and Contributions software and developed course materials for training customers on custom application programming interfaces. Dean also served as a Principal Software Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing creative solutions and onboarding new engineering and business analyst staff.

Throughout their career, Dean Whisnant has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.

Dean Whisnant earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1992.
