Shiyas Mangalathel

Shiyas Mangalathel has over 18 years of experience in telecommunications, specializing in submarine and terrestrial optical cable systems. Currently serving as Core Network Manager at Batelco since 2007, Shiyas is responsible for strategy, network planning, contract negotiation, and operational management of submarine cable systems, along with procurement of dark fibre solutions and project management for network deployments. Prior experience includes a role as Officer Networks at airtel, focusing on SDH/PDH operations and ensuring uninterrupted transmission services, and as a Trainee Engineer at Reliance Communications, gaining exposure to IP/MPLS networks. Shiyas holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication from the University of Kerala.
