Katherine Segal Frekko

Trustee at Bates College

A former corporate attorney, Katherine Segal Frekko previously worked at Winston & Strawn LLP in Washington, D.C. She now focuses her time on a variety of nonprofit activities, including serving on The Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center, Northwestern University Women’s Board, and Lake Forest Open Lands Association. In addition, Katie serves as a Director of the Segal Family Foundation. Katie also volunteers her time with the Lake Forest Academy Parents Association and as a Schuler Scholar College Connections Mentor supporting first-generation college students.

Katie has volunteered with the Bates Alumni in Admissions program since 1995 and served as a Class of ’95 Lead Agent from graduation until 2015. She has also co-chaired the reunion gift committee for each of her reunions and has previously served on the Alumni Council.

At Bates, Katie majored in Political Science and did a secondary concentration in French. She was a four-year member and co-captain of the indoor and outdoor track teams. She earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
