Scott D. Freeman is Managing Partner of FHR Capital, LLC, a privately held real estate investment and advisory company.
Prior to founding FHR Capital in July 2019, Scott was with Colony Capital, Inc. from April 2005 through June 2019 where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Portfolio Management and co-founder of Colony Realty Partners, LLC. Before Colony, he was a Partner and the Director of Acquisitions at TA Associates Realty, LLC from February 1994 to February 2004 where he served on the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee and chaired the Acquisition Committee. Previously, he was an Asset Manager with General Electric Investments with Aetna Realty Investors.
Scott’s board memberships currently include service on the board of directors of Easterly Government Properties, Inc. (NYSE: DEA), the Advisory Board of Cambridge Trust Company (NASDAQ: CATC), and the boards of a number of private portfolio investments of FHR Partners, LLC. He serves on the board of directors of several not-for-profit organizations including the Board of Trustees of Bates College where he chairs the Budget and Finance Committee.
Scott received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a B.A. from Bates College.
