Tamanda Namangale is a dedicated scholar with extensive experience in community outreach, legal reform, and admissions. Currently a scholar in The Davis UWC Scholars Program and an Admissions Intern at Bates College, Tamanda leads campus tours and connects with prospective families through various platforms. Previous roles include serving as a Legal Reform & Social Justice Community Outreach Fellow, contributing to the Student Affairs Committee in Student Government, and participating in the Bates College Student Government Committee Selection Board. Additionally, Tamanda volunteers at the Maine Women’s Prison, interns in legal research at the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office, and is an active Bonner leader focused on social justice. Educationally, Tamanda is pursuing a double major in Politics & Sociology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies at Bates College, complemented by experiences at prestigious institutions like Harvard University and Yale.
