Ira Hammerman

Ira Hammerman is a seasoned legal and regulatory professional currently serving as Managing Director at Bates Group since March 2023. Prior to this role, Hammerman was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at SIFMA from July 2004 to December 2022, where SIFMA represented the interests of the U.S. securities industry. Additionally, Hammerman spent nearly two decades as a Partner at Clifford Chance US LLP, focusing on securities regulation and enforcement. Ira Hammerman earned a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University.
