Joel Collins is an Associate at Bates Smart and a Retail Design Manager. Joel has worked in the retail industry for over 15 years.
Collins began their career as an Interior Designer with Stockland. Joel then transitioned to Retail Design Manager, and eventually became a Project Lead at Lend Lease. In this role, they oversaw the design of 54 new speciality stores and an existing full mall upgrade.
In 2013, Collins joined Vicinity Centres as a Retail Design Manager. Joel was responsible for the design of 160 new stores, a 1200 seat food court, and several international retailers including H&M, Zara, Sephora, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade. Joel also wrote and produced new national tenancy design guidelines and development guidelines for the Colonnades.
During their time with Vicinity Centres, Collins was nominated for FY15 excellence awards and managed the Victorian operation portfolio of properties 12 centres. Joel left Vicinity Centres in 2016 to join Bates Smart.
Joel Collins would most likely study interior design at the Design Institute in Enmore.
