Lucy Sutton is an Associate Director at Bates Smart. Lucy has over ten years of experience in the interior design industry, working both in Australia and internationally.

Lucy started their career as a Graduate Designer at Jahn Associates Architects in 2004. Lucy then moved to Sheppard Robson in 2006, where they worked as an Interior Designer for three years. In 2010, they joined futurespace as a Senior Interior Designer and Project Co-ordinator. During their time at futurespace, Lucy worked on a number of high-profile projects, including the fit-out of Google’s Melbourne office.

In 2012, Lucy left futurespace to start their own business, Be Well Design. Be Well Design was a design studio focused on creating socially and environmentally sustainable spaces. Lucy ran Be Well Design for two years before joining Woods Bagot as a Senior Interior Designer in 2013.

In 2014, Lucy moved to Kann Finch, where they worked as a Senior Interior Designer for seven months. Lucy then joined Bates Smart as an Associate Director, where they have been working for the past four years.

Lucy Sutton has a Project Management Course from Sydney University Centre for Continuing Education, a B. Design (Interiors) 1st Class Honours from University of Technology Sydney, and a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Ryerson University. Lucy also went to St Catherine's Girls School and Kambala Girls School.

Lucy Sutton works with Sally Hsu - Associate Director, Prue Perry - Associate Director, and Jeffery Copolov - Director. Lucy Sutton reports to Philip Vivian, Managing Director.
