Dr Jouni R.

Dr. Jouni R. has a diverse work experience in various roles related to sports technology and innovation. Dr Jouni is currently working as the Head of Product at BatFast since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Non-Executive Director - Sports Technology at KickX Football, where they played a key role in launching the new category of sport called Hybrid Football®.

From 2019 to 2022, Dr. Jouni R. worked as a Sales Director at Spookfish Innovations. Before that, they served as a Project Manager at STEMMER IMAGING from 2015 to 2019. Dr Jouni was responsible for managing projects during this time.

In 2012, Dr. Jouni R. joined Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd as a Senior Product Manager. Dr Jouni was part of the Senior Management Team and led the Simulator and Coaching Divisions of the company. Dr Jouni utilized Hawk-Eye technology and pushed its limits in their role.

Dr Jouni was involved in both internal and external research and development projects for leading sports brands. Dr Jouni also served as a Research Assistant at Loughborough University in 2008, working on the shoeSMART project and collaborating with other universities and research institutes.

Before entering the field of research and development, Dr. Jouni R. gained practical experience as a Semi-Professional Football Player at MyPa-47 in 2001. Dr Jouni competed in Division 1 at U21 level in Finland during this time.

Dr. Jouni R. obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Technology from Loughborough University, which they completed from 2001 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD from the same university between 2005 and 2008. Dr Jouni'sdoctoral research was carried out in the Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
