Rob Burgess

Rob Burgess is an experienced professional in rugby operations and recruitment, currently serving as the Head of Recruitment at Bath Rugby since September 2023. Previously, Burgess held the same title at Dragons Rugby from January 2020 to August 2023, and also worked as a Rugby & Commercial Adviser at YMU Group during the same period. Burgess has extensive experience in rugby management, having been the Head of Rugby at James Grant Sports Group for nearly a decade and overseeing Rugby Operations at Gloucester Rugby briefly. Prior roles include England Team Operations Manager at the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Manager at Gloucester Rugby. Burgess began the career at UK Sport as a Media Manager after working as a Sports Manager at Worldsport. Academic qualifications include a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and education at Portsmouth Grammar School and Swanmore Primary School.
