Mthokozisi Gift Makhubu has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Mthokozisi Gift started their career as a Staff Reporter at UJ Observer, where they covered issues related to student safety and well-being. Mthokozisi Gift then worked as a Cellphone Consultant at Edcon, where they quickly excelled and was chosen to work in the cellphones and gadgets department.

Mthokozisi then moved on to work as an Intern/Staff Reporter at Daily Sun, followed by a role as a Staff Reporter at News Watch 365, where they covered various topics as a full-time general assignment reporter.

Mthokozisi Gift then joined Thabo Mphelo Films as a Content Production & Research Intern for Daily Thetha, an educational talk show. Mthokozisi Gift later became a Production Coordinator & Social Media Manager for ONE MIC, Africa's biggest rap battle show.

Mthokozisi also worked as a Freelance Journalist at IOL News before joining Thabo Mphelo Films again, this time as a Production Scheduler, Digital Content Creator & Research Assistant. Mthokozisi Gift then transitioned to the role of Television Content Researcher for Daily Thetha on SABC 1.

Currently, Mthokozisi is working as a Social Media Coordinator at Bathu Shoes (Pty) Ltd, where they oversee social media support channels and provides feedback to clients.

Mthokozisi Gift Makhubu earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism & Communications from the University of Johannesburg between 2014 and 2016.
