Shaun Carpenter MD, FAPWCA, CWSP has extensive work experience in the medical field. Shaun started their career at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in 2004, where they worked as an Emergency Physician. In 2009, they became the President of Wound Care Associates, LLC and served in this role until 2016. In 2010, they joined Baton Rouge General Medical Center as the Medical Director of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center. In 2011, they founded Total Wound Management LLC and served as its President until 2016. Currently, they are the CEO of MedCentris, a position they have held since 2016.

Shaun Carpenter MD, FAPWCA, CWSP completed their education as follows:

- From 1996 to 2000, they attended Tulane University School of Medicine, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

- Between 2000 and 2004, they studied at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, specializing in Emergency Medicine and becoming board certified.

- Starting in 1989 and concluding in 1993, they pursued a dual degree at the University of California, Berkeley. Shaun obtained an A.B. degree, majoring in Molecular & Cell Biology as well as English Literature.
