Basel Al-Naffouri is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience at Google since September 2010, currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and holding leadership roles in prominent projects such as Android Messages, Hangouts, and Google+ Messenger. Prior experience includes serving as a member of the technical staff at Oracle, where Basel led the Support Workbench for Enterprise Manager from September 2004 to August 2010. Additionally, Basel has contributed to BATS Improv as a coach since May 2015. Educationally, Basel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2004, and attended King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals from 1997 to 1999.
