Douglas Brainard is an experienced engineer with a strong background in hardware and wireless communication systems. Currently serving as the Project Lead and Senior Wireless System Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory since May 2020, Douglas leads a team of over 20 engineers on a $40 million project focused on new wireless communication methodologies. Prior experience includes roles such as Independent Contractor at Blackmere Talent Acquisition, LLC, where Douglas led a digital hardware team, and Senior Hardware Engineer at Kinestral Technologies, Inc., focusing on the development of advanced hardware platforms. Douglas has also held lead positions at Infinisource, Blackrock MicroSystems, Wavetronix, and other organizations, delivering innovative hardware solutions and firmware development throughout a progressive career. Douglas holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Utah State University.
