Gabriel Soto is a Modeling and Simulation Specialist at Idaho National Laboratory since June 2022, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from October 2020 to June 2022, and as a PhD Candidate at Cornell University from August 2015 to August 2020. Soto's doctoral research, funded by NASA grants, involved developing operations for a segmented space telescope, calculating solar sail trajectories, and creating algorithms for spacecraft requirements. Additional projects included designing maneuvers for interplanetary orbits and optimizing CubeSAT operations. Soto's earlier roles included tutoring physics and engineering subjects at the University of Miami and conducting research on earthquake effects in a nuclear reactor model at George Washington University. Soto holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Miami.
