John Wagner

John Wagner is an accomplished professional in the field of nuclear engineering, currently serving as Laboratory Director at Idaho National Laboratory since February 2016. Wagner has held multiple key positions within the organization, including Associate Laboratory Director for the Nuclear Science & Technology Directorate and Director of Domestic Programs. Prior experience includes significant roles at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where Wagner served as Division Director of the Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division among other leadership positions, and as Principal Engineer at Holtec International. Wagner began a career in research assistance at Los Alamos National Laboratory and participated in various roles at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Wagner holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
