Peter Suyderhoud

Peter Suyderhoud's work experience includes serving as the Model-Based Systems Engineering Group Lead at Idaho National Laboratory since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Digital Engineering Scientist at the same organization from February 2020 to July 2021. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Systems Engineer III at Bechtel Corporation. Peter also served as a Pre-construction Intern at John Moriarty & Associates in 2014. In 2013, they worked as a Data Analyst Intern at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and as an Undersea Warfare Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. During their role as an Undersea Warfare Analyst, they supported a major configuration change decision for the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office and performed an analysis of alternative configuration options for expanding the tactical capabilities of the VIRGINIA Class nuclear attack submarine.

Peter Suyderhoud obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering and Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their High School education in Mathematics at Sidwell Friends School, finishing in 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Peter has obtained several certifications, including a Q Security Clearance from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2020, an Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) from INCOSE in 2015, and an Engineer-In-Training certification from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in 2015.
