Rhett Williamson

Rhett Williamson is a highly experienced analytical chemist with a robust background in forensic chemistry and a history of leadership roles in both research and technical capacities. Currently serving as Lead Analytical Chemist at Battelle since June 2021, Rhett manages technical programs and teams in the Chemical Hazards group, while also contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing company culture for emerging scientists. Prior roles include Director of Medical Science at Brand Institute, where Rhett oversaw research and regulatory submissions, and various positions at Battelle and Florida International University, focusing on analytical method development and the promotion of STEM education. Rhett holds a PhD in Forensic Chemistry from Florida International University and possesses expertise in chemical nomenclature and drug classification, while also actively engaging in community outreach and professional development for students in the field.
