Steven Lowery

Steven Lowery has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Steven began their career in 2015 at Brose Group, where they worked as an Electronics Development Engineer, focusing on the development of mechatronic systems. Steven then moved on to Apollo America Inc. in 2016, where they served as an Electrical Design Engineer, responsible for the design and development of fire protection electronics.

In 2017, Steven joined Honeywell as an Advanced Electrical Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the design and calibration of Electronic Sensing devices for the Internet of Things, specifically focusing on MEMS sensors for medical, aviation, transportation, and industrial applications. Steven also played a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing of respiratory ventilator sensors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Steven stayed with Honeywell until September 2021.

Currently, Steven works as a Lead Computer Engineer - Cyber Innovations at Battelle, where they are involved in hardware engineering, software development, cyber security, and intelligence analytics. Their work includes designing test articles for hardware security research and developing new prototype methods for assessing security properties of microelectronics and embedded systems.

Steven Lowery holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Pensacola Christian College, which they obtained from 2011 to 2015. Steven then pursued further education at Lawrence Technological University, where they completed a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2015 to 2017, as well as a Master's Certificate in Telecommunications Engineering during the same period. In 2018, Steven completed an AI Programming with Python Nanodegree from Udacity. Steven further enhanced their knowledge and skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence by earning a Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity in 2019 to 2020. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications through edX for lifelong learning.
