Felicia Januarlia Novita

Process Modeling Engineer at Battolyser Systems

Felicia Januarlia Novita has a diverse range of work experience in the field of chemical engineering. Felicia is currently employed at Battolyser Systems as a Process Modeling Engineer, where they are responsible for designing and modeling an optimal Battolyser process system. Their main focus is on process modeling of water electrolysis using Aspen software.

Prior to their current position, Felicia worked at Processes MDPI as part of the Topical Advisory Panel and also served as a Topic Editor and Guest Editor. Their role involved contributing to the selection and editing of scientific articles in the field of chemical processes.

Felicia also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where they developed a process model for the cyclic and dynamic operation of multicolumn adsorption processes. Felicia completed projects related to biobutanol recovery with Zeolite and lithium recovery as part of the EuGeLi project.

Furthermore, Felicia worked at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, initially as an Assistant Professor and later as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Felicia taught several undergraduate and graduate courses and supervised students on their projects and theses. Their research focused on various areas such as reactive distillation, extractive distillation, and hybrid membrane processes.

Additionally, Felicia has experience as an instructor for Aspen Plus software and MATLAB. Felicia also gained industry exposure as an intern at Sragi Sugar Factory, where they learned about the chemical engineering processes involved in sugar production.

Felicia Januarlia Novita has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Felicia obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from Yeungnam University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2013. Felicia also holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya, which they completed in 2013.

In terms of certifications, Felicia Januarlia Novita holds an Open Water Diver certification from PADI, obtained in July 2021. Felicia also obtained an Academic Teaching Rank Accreditation Certificate Assistant Professor from the Ministry of Education, ROC (Taiwan) in December 2019.
