Eva Malessa is a Junior Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, focusing on technology-enhanced literacy training for low-literate and non-literate adults learning Finnish as a second language. With experience in the AllRead project, Eva evaluates digital game environments for supporting literacy acquisition in multiple languages. Previous roles include teaching English for Academic Purposes at INTO Newcastle University and serving as a Language Facilitator at Newcastle University. Eva has also contributed to academic conferences with presentations on language acquisition and phonemic awareness. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Linguistics and Language Acquisition from Newcastle University and a Master's degree in Finnish-English-German language and culture from the University of Jyväskylä.
