Axel Bichara

Axel Bichara is a prominent venture capitalist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the technology and engineering sectors. As the Co-Founder and General Partner of Baukunst since April 2022, Bichara is dedicated to advancing the art of building companies at the intersection of technology and design. Additionally, Bichara has been a Co-Founder and General Partner at Bolt since May 2012, focusing on early-stage investments in software and physical goods. Previous roles include Co-Founder and Board Member at OnShape, a cloud-based CAD software company, and Partner at Atlas Venture, where Bichara contributed to seven funds totaling $2.65 billion. Early career experience includes managerial and engineering positions at Computervision and as a Co-Founder of Premise, a CAD company spun out of MIT CADLAB. Bichara holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from INSEAD, and a Dipl. Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
