Gretel Benavides has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Gretel has held various positions with different companies, demonstrating their expertise in quality assurance, compliance, and global operations.

Gretel'smost recent role was as the Vice President Quality, Global External Manufacturing at Bausch Health Companies Inc., where they were responsible for ensuring the quality and supply continuity of products manufactured through contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs). Gretel also had additional leadership responsibilities in corporate quality compliance, pre-commercial quality, and clinical quality operations.

Prior to this, Gretel worked as the Vice President, Global Quality Systems, Compliance & DDS Quality Operations at AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.). Gretel also briefly served as the Vice President at Lachman Consultant Services.

Gretel had a long tenure at Perrigo, where they held the positions of Vice President Corporate Quality Systems & Compliance and Senior Director Corporate Quality Assurance. In these roles, they developed and implemented quality strategies, established global quality programs, and built reliable quality systems throughout the organization.

Before Perrigo, they worked at Solvay Pharmaceuticals, where they held various roles such as Vice President Process Excellence and Global Director Quality Systems and Validation. Gretel was responsible for auditing, GXP training, quality systems, and computerized system validation programs, and played a key role in introducing best practices and ensuring compliance.

Gretel's early career includes positions at Solvay Pharmaceuticals as the QA Director National Quality Standards and QA Manager of Analytical Services, as well as at IVAX as the Director Quality Operations.

Gretel Benavides obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University from 1980 to 1984.
