Janus Falhof has a diverse work experience in the field of process development and management. Janus worked as a Senior Manager in the Process Development Lab at Bavarian Nordic from March 2021, and prior to that, they held the position of Manager in the same lab from September 2016.
Before their time at Bavarian Nordic, Janus was a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen from September 2013 to September 2016. Janus'sresearch focused on P-type ATPases and their post-translational regulation, particularly the activating effect of LysoPC on the pump.
Janus also gained experience as a Senior Consultant and Owner at JF Bioconsult from September 2013 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked at Statens Serum Institut, starting as a Technician in the Viral Vaccine Department for IPV development from 1998 to 2001. Janus then became a Senior Technician, contributing to the scale-up of the upstream process and facility commissioning. Finally, Janus served as a Team Leader and later as a Production Manager in the Viral Vaccines Department, overseeing large-scale Polio vaccine production and managing production staff.
Throughout their career, Janus has gained expertise in areas such as mammalian cell cultivation, poliovirus propagation, production process development, compliance with GMP standards, documentation for registration filings, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives such as LEAN methodologies.
Janus Falhof has a diverse education history. Janus obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from Københavns Universitet, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, Janus pursued an MS degree in Molecular Biology from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, attending from 2008 to 2010. In their earlier years, Janus attended Laborantskolen and completed a Laboratory Technologist degree in 1996-1997, followed by a Laboratory Technician degree from the same institution from 1990 to 1992.
