Matthias H.

Matthias H. has a diverse work experience in the field of virology and vaccine generation. Matthias started their career as a Graduate Student/PostDoc at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau in September 2006 and served in this role until May 2010. Matthias then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Kantonsspital St. Gallen from June 2010 to October 2011. After that, Matthias joined the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry as a Scientist in November 2011 and remained in this position until September 2016. Matthias then moved to Bavarian Nordic where they initially worked as a Scientist in the Vaccine Generation team from September 2016 to February 2019. Currently, Matthias holds the position of a Senior Scientist in Virology & Vaccine Generation at Bavarian Nordic since March 2019.

Matthias H. completed their Master's Degree in Microbiology and Genetics at the University of Vienna. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Virology at The University of Freiburg from 2006 to 2009.
