Steven Stoddard Ms

Steven Stoddard, MS, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of epidemiology. Steven is currently working as the Director of Epidemiology at Bavarian Nordic since May 2023. Previously, they served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at San Diego State University starting from January 2015. Additionally, they held various positions at Emergent BioSolutions, including Director of Epidemiology from November 2020 to May 2023, Sr. Medical Science Liaison from June 2020 to October 2020, and Medical Science Liaison from February 2019 to June 2020. Steven also worked as a Medical Science Liaison at PaxVax, Inc. from April 2017 to February 2019, providing medical and scientific support. In 2016, they served as a Lecturer at the Universidad del Valle (CO) until June 2018. From April 2015 to April 2017, they worked as a Science Consultant, contributing to research projects related to dengue and Zika virus transmission. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Project Scientist at UC Davis from September 2010 to March 2015, where they led the development of protocols for epidemiological studies and directed field studies. Steven also worked as a Post-doctoral scholar at UC Davis from January 2007 to August 2010, focusing on measuring the influence of human mobility on dengue virus transmission.

Steven Stoddard, MS, PhD, began their education at the University of Wyoming from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, majoring in Biology and Spanish. Steven then moved on to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from 1999 to 2002. Continuing their education, Steven pursued their PhD in Biology at the same institution from 2002 to 2006. Finally, they completed their Post-Doctoral studies in Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Vector Biology at the University of California, Davis, from 2007 to 2010.
