Elena Sorokina

Elena Sorokina has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Elena currently works at BAWAG Group as a Team Lead Treasury Accounting, a role they started in July 2022. Prior to that, they were an IFRS Generalist at the same company from June 2018 to June 2022. Elena also has a significant background at Deloitte Österreich, where they held various positions. Elena worked as a Manager from January 2017 to May 2018, a Senior from December 2013 to December 2016, and a Senior expert from July 2007 to November 2013. During their tenure at Deloitte, Elena was responsible for leading audit projects for several top Russian banks, including reviewing loan and guarantee portfolios, managing team members, preparing financial reports under IFRS, and liaising with clients. Elena also conducted audits of Russian subsidiary banks of international institutions.

Elena Sorokina's education history begins in 2003 when they attended the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA of Russia. Elena completed their Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting and Audit in 2007. During this time, they also studied at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, where they obtained a degree in "Бакалавр" in "Бухгалтерский учет и Аудит во Внешнеэкономической деятельности". Elena then went on to study International Accounting at The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from 2008 to 2013.
