Gordon McKelvie

Gordon McKelvie is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Since May 2016, Gordon has served as Group Legal and Compliance Director at Baxters Food Group, where previous roles included Group Secretariat and Legal Counsel. Prior positions include Group Legal Counsel at Alexander Dennis Limited and Head of Legal Counsel Services at Vialex Limited. Gordon was a Partner at Morton Fraser LLP and Burness Paull LLP, specializing in Corporate M&A and Corporate Finance, and also held the title of Partner at Biggart Baillie LLP. Gordon’s earlier career included serving as Director of Corporate Legal Affairs and Company Secretary at Burn Stewart Distillers PLC, playing a key role in establishing the legal function post-listing. Legal experience began at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Manager and at McGrigor Donald as an Assistant. Gordon holds an LL.B Hons degree in Law from the University of Strathclyde, attained in 1986.
