Areana Flores is currently the Vice President of the BAAQMD Employees' Association, advocating for employees' rights. Areana is also the Founder of The Coffee Barn, focusing on transforming coffee waste into bioplastics. With a background in meteorology and mathematics, Areana has held various roles such as Clean Air Centers Grant Administrator and Climate Tech Finance Program Lead at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Areana has also been involved in environmental planning, climate finance, and climate action initiatives at various organizations and conferences. Their expertise in climate tech financing and green economy has been instrumental in creating positive impacts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting public health and equity.
