Chad White has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Chad has extensive experience in the field of sustainability and environmental science.
From 2016 onwards, Chad worked at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Chad held multiple positions in the organization, including Team Lead / Manager for sustainable technology innovation. In this role, they led the development and implementation of multi-million dollar grant programs and drove the transition to more sustainable transportation systems. Chad also managed a team of six staff members.
Prior to that, from 2013 to 2017, Chad worked at Thomas Jefferson University as the Sustainability Projects Director and a Professor of Environmental and Social Science. In this role, they conducted research, developed curricula, and led sustainability projects both on-campus and in the community.
Chad also worked at the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Davis as an Environmental Scientist and Modeler in 2012. During this time, Chad focused on modeling research on transportation biofuels and developed mathematical and computer models to analyze life-cycle climate impacts.
In addition, Chad has experience working at Loyola University Chicago as the Sustainability Projects Manager and Lecturer in Environmental Science and Studies from 2009 to 2011. Chad conducted research on sustainability practices, led sustainable development projects, and taught courses on sustainability science and environmental policy/management.
Other roles in Chad's work history include Product Ecology Lead / Sustainability Scientist at Business for Social Responsibility in 2007, Energy Technology Fellow / Program Evaluator and Scientist at the Kennedy School of Government from 2001 to 2003, and Program Evaluator at the US Environmental Protection Agency in 2001.

Chad White earned a BSE in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1994. Chad then went on to obtain a PhD in energy and resources/management from the University of California, Berkeley from 2003 to 2008.
