Bay Area Community Resources (BACR)
Jose Garcia has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in the areas of safety and security, crisis and risk management, and program management. Jose has worked as the Program Manager of Safety and Security at Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) since August 2018, overseeing various initiatives focused on community and restorative practices. Prior to this role, Jose served as the Newcomer Success Initiative Program Manager, providing support to newly arrived migrant youth, unaccompanied minors, and refugees from Latin America and the Caribbean. At EastSide Arts Alliance, Jose worked as a lead muralist, facilities coordinator, and technology specialist for over 16 years.
