Health And Policy Campaigns at Bay Area Community Resources (BACR)

Nefertiti K. is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in health equity advocacy and film production. Currently, Nefertiti works at Bay Area Community Resources, focusing on the creation of Health Equity campaigns aimed at protecting youth and advocating for their Behavioral Health through storytelling. With a rich background as an independent filmmaker and film producer, Nefertiti has contributed to projects that address social struggles and promote diverse cultural representations. Notably, as an assistant to Oscar nominee Hubert Sauper on the documentary "Epicentro," which premiered at Sundance 2020, Nefertiti played a key role in a critically acclaimed film. Previous roles include consulting on social cohesion and health in Latin America with Fundación Española para la Cooperación Internacional and serving as a Strategic Communication Specialist at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Nefertiti holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from California College of the Arts and a Diplomado in Cultural Studies from Instituto de Cultura Superior in Mexico City.
