Alex Foard

Alex manages of the Council’s offices in Hangzhou and Nanjing.

Alex graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with majors in econometrics and international relations. His professional history in China began in 2008 at Shui On Land during the development of the Wuhan Tian Di live/work project in the Hubei Province. Since then he has spent eight years living part-time in China and San Francisco working in Chinese government relations, Bay Area public policy, and econometric reporting. Today he draws on this mix of experience to help local governments in China develop policies that will transition them from manufacturing to innovation driven economies.
