Matt Durell

Matt Durell is the Founder and CEO of Bay City Basketball, a grassroots basketball organization based in San Francisco, specializing in the hosting and organization of AAU basketball teams for youth aged 9-17, a position held since January 2010. Prior experience includes serving as the Head Boys JV Basketball Coach at Stuart Hall High School from November 2009 to May 2021 and as the Adult Sports Coordinator at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco from March 2006 to November 2009. Matt Durell holds a degree in Sports Management with a focus on Recreation Administration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and further education in Sports Management, Marketing, and Administration from Griffith University. Early education was completed at Acalanes High School.

We can help you achieve your basketball goals and reach your maximum potential as a player through our camps and clinics, AAU basketball teams for boys and girls ages 8-18, youth basketball leagues and tournaments. Bay City Basketball is dedicated to bringing you a highly organized experience that is the right fit for you. Bay City Basketball is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and provides financial assistance to players who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in a well organized athletic program.
